Denji going to such lengths for Asa’s sake is something I liked a lot. We never saw him speaking such mature words, but now he has changed. Or, he is just very eager to save his potential girlfriend.

I think Fujimoto is trying to develop a relationship between Asa and Denji. All these incidents are clearly indicating towards it, and we might get to see some action between them. 

I wonder whether Yoru will approve of this or not. However, the interactions between Asa and Denji till now have been nothing but hilarious and sweet. I hope we see some development soon.

The Falling Devil throws Asa in the air. She manages to grab a box and save herself. The devil grabs her head and starts manipulating her. She tells Asa she knows Asa doesn’t have any will to live.

Asa is only scared about the physical sensation of falling down. She doesn’t care about her life. The devil promises her a peaceful fall if she closes her eyes. 

Yoru tells her not to, but Asa starts thinking about her past and closes her eyes. She starts falling down. She feels at peace and thinks she doesn’t have to worry about things now. 

However, she still thinks that if only with one person, with all her heart, she could…before she can complete her thoughts, Denji shows up and catches her. 

She tells him to let go, but he refuses. She tells him life is nothing but pain, getting made a fool, and letting everyone down, despite high expectations, is all worthless.  

Asa falls even more when she says all these negative things. Denji tells her to think of something positive. He starts saying dogs, cats, dogs, and cats. They stop falling upward. 

Asa tells him not to remind her of cats. He tells her he knows what she has been through and has been in the same place. She tells him that no one has it worse than her. 

Denji says whenever life is going awesome, and you put your guard down, something happens that screws things up. All these lead to only negative feelings, and it looks like a hamburger made of crap.

Still, he is ready to eat the crap burger because there is something he looks forward to. He hasn’t gotten over anything but has something to live for. 

When Asa asks him what that is, he replies that he wants to have sex. The chapter ends with Asa’s disgusting face. 

7. About Chainsaw Man

Chainsaw Man is a manga series by Tatsuki Fujimoto that was serialized from December 2018-2020 and returned in July 2022 with a second part. The series also received an anime series by MAPPA.

The manga’s plot revolves around Denji, an orphaned boy who has to work as a devil hunter to make a living and pay off his father’s debt.

However, his pet devil, Pochita is killed on a mission. Denji wakes up to realize he and Pochita have become a single being, Chainsaw Man. If he does not want to get killed, he has to join the government and continue hunting demons.
