CAA Signs Phil Dunster: Ted Lasso’s Rising Star And Theater Actor

One of the most renowned talent agencies, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), has now signed up the multi-talented Phil Dunster as their new artist, reported Deadline.

CAA offers top brand opportunities in multiple areas. From diverse sports, endorsements, coaching to entertainment areas such as fashion, movies, music, theatre, gaming, and a whole lot more.

This news comes straight off from Dunster making a global name for himself as the arrogant bad boy Jamie Tartt in the award-winning series, Ted Lasso.

The 29-year-old actor played the character exceptionally well, and much hard work went into it. Especially considering Dunster pulled off Christiano Ronaldo’s iconic physics-defying goal against Arsenal in 2009.

He didn’t need to. But Dunster’s Jamie Tartt was the best footballer, so he had to do justice to it.

While Dunster’s fame skyrocketed through Ted Lasso, he has been active in the industry since 2012. He has dabbled in movies, television, and even theaters.

His famous movies include Murder on the Orient Express (2017) and The Good Liar (2019).

He is also notable for TV shows Strike Back (2017-2018), The Trouble with Maggie Cole (2020), and of course, the most recent, Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso.

On top of being an actor, he is also a talented theater actor. He took part in Much Ado About Nothing, bagged the lead role Arthur in Pink Mist in 2016 right after leaving drama school, and appeared on The Entertainer in 2016 with Kenneth Branagh too.

Considering CAA is home to many A-listers in the Hollywood, theater, and sports industry, Dunster’s career seems to have taken a turn for the best.

Some of the clients CAA handles in Hollywood are Jennifer Aniston, Ashton Kutcher, James Cameron, Gerard Butler, Lupita Nyong’o, and more. At the same time, TV clients include Jimmy Fallon, Trevor Noah, and many more.

As fans gear up to say goodbye to Ted Lasso in the finale on October 8, they most probably won’t have to wait long to see Dunster on screens again.

He has been roped in for an upcoming British drama thriller called The Devil’s Hour for Amazon Prime Video.
