Ryouma takes more security measures for Bamboo Forest due to frequent visits from thugs in episode 2 of By the Grace of the Gods season 2, titled “Ryoma and the Crime Prevention Drill”. He also tries to forge katanas and other weapons with his magic and slimes.
It turns out that the thugs are targeting Bamboo Forest to defame Mr. Taylor, head of their branch. Ryouma’s mastery over Limour birds and his martial arts make quick work of them, and Jeff introduces him to a bodyguard named Dolce for his shop.
Seriously thinking about a new branch, Ryouma hires slime researchers as potential managers. He heads off to a new town to inspect the area for it.

Episode 3 Speculation
Ryouma has headed off to the new town to build his second branch of Bamboo Forest. Since Glisselia recommended him the town, it must be an ideal place for his shop.
The merchants of the place might have heard of Ryouma’s exploits already which may help him in setting up the shop. The next episode will show him arriving in the town, as well as meeting new people in a new place.
Ryouma may venture to expand the scope of his laundry agency, providing more services in the new branch. We might also see Piolo, who was briefly shown in the trailer, who might be the person Glisselia told to help Ryouma set up the second shop.

Episode 2 Recap
Ryouma is visited by Mr. Taylor, head of the tamer’s guild, who is impressed by how slimes are used in Bamboo Forest. A person brings a ripped shirt and blames it on the shop, but Ryouma proves that the slashes were deliberately made by them since slimes can’t tear into clothes.
He is taken away by the guards from the city. Carla expressed her concern over it and tells Ryoum she will have Callum look into it.
Ryouma meets Asagi and asks him where he got his katana. Asagi tells him it’s better to have them sent from the place the person has learned sword mastery from since they are expensive to buy otherwise.
Ryouma thinks about making his own katana, but although he knows the basic knowledge behind it, he doesn’t know the techniques. He remembers how his father was a blade smith but didn’t teach him his art as he wasn’t talented enough, and so instead, he learned martial arts and mastery over various weapons from him.
Carla tells Ryouma that their investigation has revealed the reason for the thugs is because of Taylor, who is in a delicate position within the Tamer’s Guild.
The mainstream faction wants to tame stronger monsters, but he believes in peaceful coexistence with them, so they want to sully his reputation. The attack on Bamboo Forest was because they want to defame the business Taylor has high hopes for.
Ryouma tells Carla to spread the word that he has tamed six Lemour birds. Since they are difficult to tame, it will cast doubt on the bad rumors about him and increase his reputation.
Ryouma hires three slime researchers, Calukin, Tony, and Lobelia, as potential new managers, and they learn new techniques from the laundry shop. They tell him that his place is much better than the research labs they worked in before, where frequent exploitation of slime researchers is common. They were fired because of the slow nature of their research.
Ryouma tells them how the slime species evolve by what they eat and all of them are excited to work under him and learn more things.
At night, when Ryouma is going back, he is targeted by several thugs. He easily takes them down. The guild master arrives on the scene with guards and tells Ryouma to make some time for him the day after.
Ryouma tells all Bamboo Forest employees about what happened. He advises them to finish their work before night and be careful. In the meeting with the guild master, Mr. Taylor, and Glissela, they tell him to lay low since someone sent those thugs after him.
They tell him that they will find the mastermind while he protects his shop. Glissela tells him an idea to prevent more attacks on him.
The next time the thugs attack him, he takes them out, heals them, and then charges a high fee for healing after they have been apprehended. The guards take them and pay him while the thugs repent with forced labor to repay the loan.
Ryouma conducts a mock drill with Bamboo Forest employees in the case of an attack. Dolce, a bodyguard introduced by Jeff, joins them. Selma and Carla bring food for everyone and they all happily eat discussing the new good rumors that have now spread about the shop.
Carla lets Ryouma know that they have now enough for the second branch, and the researchers are training quickly and efficiently. Glissela tells Ryouma of the town where he can put his branch. Ryouma receives another letter from Eliaria.
