The Decay Angels hamper and trick The Detective Agency in episode 5 of Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4, titled “Tragic Sunday “. Ranpo tries to warn the agency not to take a serial murder case given to them by the government, heeding Oguri’s warning, but Fuyutsuki is adamant about saving people’s lives.
Nikolai and one another angel lure the agency members into a trap by taking hostages, and they get the most unpleasant surprise of their lives when they realize that they have been framed.

Episode 7 Speculation
Episode 7 is titled “Dogs Hunt Dogs”. Things have taken a big turn, and the agency is now suspected of being the Decay of Angels. There will be no way to explain or get out of the sticky situation now, and the best Kunikida and the others will be able to do is run.
Since Atsushi is injured, someone will have to rescue him as well. The agency will probably have to take the help of the port mafia going forward.
The next episode will reveal the writer that was the key player in trapping the agency. Since he seemed to be well-versed in the ins and outs of novel writing, he will probably turn out to be a famous writer, one that the members may even know already. The series has entered into one of the most hyped arcs, and the next episode is highly awaited.

Recap of Episode 6
The Armed Detective Agency is awarded the Futsuma Shikyu Award for their contributions to the White Whale incident.
At the agency office, Kunikida explains the details of the urgent request they received from the government about the recent multiple brutal killings of government officials. Ranpo deduces that the Decay of Angels is behind it. Fuyutsuki explains that the Decay of Angels refers to the five signs exhibited before death by angels, and the victims were killed similarly.
Since there have been four murders, the omen of apathy and dissatisfaction remains, and thus there will be a fifth murder. Fuyutsuki is adamant about stopping it, but Ranpo advises them not to pursue the case, remembering Oguri’s warning. Fuyutsuki denies it, and Ranpo angrily runs out.
During the investigation, Atsushi gets a call from Sakaguchi, who tells him that the Decay of Angels might be related to the government. The Assistant Senior Attorney, Tonan, approaches Atsushi to ask about the case, but he is wary because of Sakaguchi’s warning and runs away.
Dazai is at a horse race. A mysterious white and red-haired, blind man, probably a member of the Hunting Dogs, asks him about the winning horse. Dazai is impressed that the man knows he won.
The man tells him he can see more than what a seeing person can’t and handcuffs him. Dazai asks him why he arrested him then, and he replies that eevidence against him suddenly reemerged.
Several ministers have a meeting about destroying the agency. The Tonan’s assistant turns out to be Nikolai. He kidnaps all the ministers and sends a warning to the agency that if they don’t come within time, he will kill the hostages. A very beaten Oguri says that they were after his ability to reverse a perfect murder from the beginning.
Ranpo arrives in an abandoned building where he finds Chief Taneda, severely injured. Taneda tells Ranpo that the Decay Angels have five members, three more besides Fyodor and Nikolai. Ranpo remembers how he came across V in the past, which he now realizes meant five.
One of the Decay Angels used his ability to extract information from Taneda to gain a page of a special blank novel, which makes everything written into reality. However, the story must have the consistency of a novel.
Atsushi moves first to try to stop the timer but is stopped and outplayed by Nikolai’s spatial ability. After injuring Atsushi, he leaves, successfully preventing him from achieving his goal.
Kunikida, Tanizaki, Kenji, Kyouka, and Yosano reach the location. They notice the military police cars behind them. Kunikida instructs Kenji to stop them since Nikolai threatened them, saying one of the agency members must be the first to step into the room.
Nikolai tells the senior attorney to call for help on purpose after giving him a phone. The military team on standby prepares to shoot and rescue the officials. Someone, probably the third angel, dictates the situation by writing a novel on the special page.
As soon as the agency members enter the room, they are surprised to find themselves in the position of the white-hooded perpetrators. Nikolai is on a chainsaw chair and screams to Tonan to call for help since they now know the perpetrators’ identity.
Tonan calls and tells the police that the culprits are the agency members. Nikolai’s body falls as a very confused Kunikida receives a call from Ranpo, a bit too late, telling him to leave since it was all a set-up by the Decay Angels.
