Buddy Daddies Episode 5: Release Date, Speculation, Discussion

Kazuki and Rei struggle to keep up with Miri’s chaotic personality and enroll her in a daycare in episode 4, titled “What Will Be, Will Be.”

They realize that enrolling her in any preschool or daycare will require a lot of paperwork, so Kazuki forges to get the appropriate documents. To leave a good first impression, Kazuki buys many expensive designer clothes and other things for Miri.

However, because of her expensive outfits, Miri starts getting alienated from other students at the daycare. Kazuki notices Miri looking down, and they go on another shopping spree to a local department that the daycare teacher recommended. Kazuki helps Miri to get along with the children, and she finally makes new friends.

Episode 5 Speculation

Miri has started her daycare which has reduced Kazuki and Rei’s burden to take care of her. They are slowly learning how to be guardians and take proper care of a four-year-old. Since they asked Kyutaro, they will probably be getting a job soon.

They might run into Ogino, which might create some problems. Kyutaro has also started getting suspicious about the duo, and his intelligence network might reveal the existence of Miri to him. However, they will both try to solve whatever comes their way since they have already accepted their roles as Miri’s guardians.

Episode 4 Recap

Kazuki and Rei are exhausted from Miri’s never-ending energy and decide to enroll her in daycare. They soon come to know that they will have to consult a government office first.

At the office, the clerk tells them about the paperwork they will have to do, and Kazuki gets frustrated by how much he has to complete. He uses his forging skill to get all the required documents, and their application is approved.

They go to check out a daycare but struggle to explain the existence of two dads. Miri also blurts out a few suspicious details about their work, so they run out. They go to another daycare after preparing properly for the interview, and this time they pass it.

However, their battle isn’t over when they soon read about the number of things they have to buy for Miri to prepare for school. Kazuki buys everything from a high-end mall to make a good impression on everyone, and he and Rei spend the night sewing name tags on everything.

The next day, they go to leave a very excited Miri at the daycare, and all the mothers start immediately texting everyone about the two of them. Kazuki forces Rei to go to Kyutaro’s café to celebrate and requests Kyutaro to give them work.

Miri fails to play with anyone because the kids are intimidated by her expensive clothes. Kazuki notices Miri getting sadder over the days and asks Anna, the daycare teacher if anything is wrong.

She suggests making her wear more ordinary clothes so she can play with everyone and recommends a store popular amongst mothers. 

Kazuki, Rei, and Miri go to the store. They all get too excited by seeing everything so cheap and go on a shopping spree.

The next day Kazuki goes with Miri to the daycare and starts playing with her, which gets the other kids excited too. They all play together, and Miri finally makes friends.

At home, Kazuki and Rei surprised Miri with her own customized bedroom, and she excitedly thanked them.
