Episode 4 of Bucchigiri is titled “Stop the War! ~ Sometimes You Gotta Eat Goya Chanpuru ~.” In this episode, tensions between Siguma and Minato Kai escalate.
Matakara desperately tries to figure out the truth behind Outa’s ambush. Matakara knows that Minato Kai would never do something so cowardly, but Marito is not convinced. Marito and Kenichiro are arrogant and eager for a fight, which could lead to a total war.
Zabu’s armband was taken by Shindo, known to be a weakling. Out of embarrassment, Zabu kept the incident a secret from Minato Kai.

1. Episode 5 Release Date
Episode 5 of ‘Bucchigiri?!’ will be released on Saturday, February 10, 2024. It is a weekly anime, and new episodes are released every Saturday. You can watch ‘Bucchigiri?!’ anime on Crunchyroll.
I. Is Bucchigiri?! on a Break?
‘Bucchigiri?!’ is not on a break this week. Episode 5 has not been delayed and will be released on the above-stated date.
2. Episode 5 Speculation
Zabu has finally gained the courage to tell Matakara the truth about the war. However, Arajin has already begun fighting Shindo before Matakara can get there. Senya has spotted another genie, Ichiya, rising behind Shindo. Shindo has probably fully merged with Ichiya and gained all his powers.
Arajin is still in the early stages of training and can only use Senya occasionally. Therefore, Shindo will easily win this fight with Ichiya’s power. Matakara will hopefully get there in time and stop Shindo from killing Arajin or Senya.
Matakara only needs to expose Shindo’s acts to Kenichiro and Marito to stop the war from happening. If Minato Kai and Siguma band together against Shindo, they may be able to win the fight. Arajin will need a lot more training to be as strong as Shindo.
3. Recap of Episode 4
Marito walks into Minato Kai’s base and calls out for Kenichiro. Marito knocks Matakara to the ground. Marito shows the band that they found next to Outa. Marito announces a time and place for Minato Kai to bring the people responsible for Outa and threatens war if they don’t.
Arajin walks around with Mahoro’s words stuck in his head. After entering the gym, Arajin gets caught up in the tensions between Siguma and Minato Kai. Zabu had been beaten up by Shindo Akutaro, the “Emperor” who then took his armband.
Zabu was too embarrassed by the loss to tell anyone. Arajin tells Senya that regardless of the outcome of their battle, Arajin can get Mahoro. Matakara visits Arajin at his house and asks him about the war. Matakara asks Arajin to convince Marito not to fight, but Arajin continues to evade all his questions.
Senya notices that Arajin always gets worked up around Matakara. Arajin kicks Matakara out of his house, and Senya asks him what happened. Matakara feels helpless without his brother and sits in his room all alone. Mahoro continues ignoring Arajin, and Matakara interrupts.
Matakara tells Mahoro to convince Marito to avoid this battle. If Marito won’t listen to Mahoro, Matakara tells her to at least persuade Arajin. With a single sentence, Mahoro convinces Arajin to talk to Marito. Later that day, Arajin goes to Marito and starts fumbling over his words.
The time of the fight arrives, and Kenichiro comes to the venue first. Arajin runs into the Emperor while walking along the street and gets into a fight. Zabu tells Matakara that Shindo was the one who got Outa. Matakara appreciates Zabu for telling the truth and goes to talk with Shindo. Arajin uses Senya’s Honki Power to punch Shindo. As Shindo gets up from the ground, Senya notices another genie behind him.

‘Bucchigiri?!’ is an original anime series produced by MAPPA and directed by Hiroko Utsumi. Mappa and Utsumi have previously worked together on ‘Banana Fish’. The anime is scheduled for release in January 2024.
