‘Bucchigiri?!’ is an upcoming original anime directed by Hiroko Utsumi and written by Taku Kishimoto. It will initially be premiered on TV Tokyo and other networks.
The plot follows Arajin Tomoshibi and his reunion with his old friend Matakara Asamine. The two fight with some tough guys, causing a scene in town. Out of nowhere, a genie appears and completely flips Arajin’s life upside down.
‘Bucchigiri?!’ will be animated by MAPPA, one of today’s leading studios renowned for Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan, and Kakegurui.

1. Episode 1 Release Date
Episode 1 of ‘Bucchigiri?!’ will be released on Saturday, January 13, 2024. It is a weekly anime, and new episodes are released every Wednesday. You can watch ‘Bucchigiri?!’ anime on Crunchyroll.

‘Bucchigiri?!’ is not on a break this week. Episode 1 has not been delayed and will be released on the above-stated date.
2. Episode 1 Speculation
The first episode will introduce us to the life of Arajin Tomoshibi. Arajin seems like an ordinary, energetic high-school boy who plays guitar. Arajin will meet with Matakara, an old friend. After getting into a fight with tall delinquents, Arajin runs into a genie.
The trailer has teased a massive roster of characters, each quirkier than the last. An army of clones, guns, and pierced villains will be introduced soon, with Arajin involved in everything. The appearance of a genie was also teased, but whether it will side with Arajin is yet to be revealed.
3. About Bucchigiri?!
‘Bucchigiri?!’ is an original anime series produced by MAPPA and directed by Hiroko Utsumi. Mappa and Utsumi have previously worked together on ‘Banana Fish’. The anime is scheduled for release in January 2024.
Araji Tomobishi reunites with his former friend Mataka Asamine. However, he gets pushed into battles with powerful individuals. Elsewhere, a shadow of a demon emerges.
