Team 15 is in serious need of a member after Sumire decided to abandon her training at the end of the Jugo Arc. She decided to be a part of the Scientific Ninja Tool Team after watching Boruto talk about how one should do what they love and chase their dreams.
The writer opened up on Twitter about his involvement with a brand-new character. He said, “since I always wanted to do this, I shared the idea for the anime and said, ‘Come on! That’s interesting!”

Tsubaki, the new character will make her debut in Episode 137 and she comes from the Land of Iron. Early impressions of the Konoha may not sound pleasing to the hidden leaf fans after hearing her speak about the village in a teaser:
“I have no intention of becoming friends with shinobi. Since it seems the shinobi in this village are good-for-nothings with no conviction!”
It will be interesting to see how the series manages to tone down this new character as Baruto fans were not too thrilled with the previous arcs. Maybe the hook of a cool new samurai character will be enough to win over the fans once again.
