Boruto Star Teases the End of Fillers

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations came as a strong contender to extend the Naruto saga, but for a while, it has been going off the tracks as the anime focuses more on fillers rather than what is going in the actual manga. What’s interesting to note is that despite having the anime plot going away from the manga, Boruto anime is gaining popularity in its own way. Boruto, despite being praised by critics for having a well-written expansion to Naruto still couldn’t gather much readership. On the other hand, manga readers might feel frustrated watching fillers in the anime part of the saga.

During the recent “Naruto to Boruto The Live” event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first Naruto manga, Boruto’s voice actress Yūko Sanpei performed one of the fans loved dialogues from the Mujina Bandits Arc, something in the manga and not the anime. Thus teasing a major turn for the anime.

In the scene, Boruto meets with Tentō Madoka, the wealthy heir to the Land of Fire’sFire’s daimyo. Tentō wanted to know how it’sits like to be the son of the Hokage and such person’s destiny. As Boruto replies “I want to become an amazing ninja that can support the Hokage.” The reason why fans admire this dialogue is that here Boruto acts more like his father, Naruto. Unlike like the younger form of his sensei Sasuke which is opposite from how anime portrayed him so far.

It’s fascinating to watch her choose a scene from that part of the manga which hasn’t been animated and merged into the anime. Still, she performing this specific dialogue probably hints it to be put into the anime. Although when will that happen is still not known, it will surely make the manga readers happy as the anime will align up with the manga.
