Iwabe and Denki inform the others about this, and Kagura plans to hide the shinobis, so the Funato thinks it’s safe. Will they successfully deceive the Funato?

Episode 245 Speculations
Hebiichigo ran away, even after Kagura did so much to protect them. Buntan was the one who put it in her head when she told Hebiichigo not to trust the wrong person.
That is if she really means to abandon them, of course, because some fans think that there is more to this. She might be trying to sacrifice herself by fighting the Funato alone.
The Funato have a whole fleet while there are only a few shinobi protecting the villagers. It doesn’t look hopeful at the moment, but they’ve sent word to the Hidden mist village and Konoha. So if it seems like they’re losing, Naruto just might come in to save the day.

Episode 244 Recap
The Funato pirates discover that the two suspension bridges ahead are broken down. Their chief decides that they’ll take the route through the ravine, but they send a search party to check if the village has any defenses or not.
Iwabe and Denki see this and run to the village so that they can be on guard. In the village, Kagura and the others are working to build barricades, and Boruto says that Buntan and Kyoho aren’t as bad as they seem.
Buntan asks Hebiichigo why she wanted to kill Kagura, and Hebiichigo says she plans to run away and meet Shizuma again. Buntan then tells her how Shizuma betrayed her and even his friends to break free from prison.
Buntan asks Hebiichigo not to trust the wrong person as she did. Kagura never abandoned them, so she doesn’t want to betray Kagura. Denki and Iwabe come running and inform them of the Funamushi search party coming in.
Kagura says they’ll evacuate most of the people in town except for the chief and some others. The people will go into hiding along with the shinobis. Kawaki takes his ninja headband off, and the kids playing nearby pick it up. The Funamushi almost finds the kids, but Kawaki saves them.
The search party comes in and is greeted by the village chief, who they ask to prepare all the food and water available. Metal finds Hebiichigo gone from her post, so he goes after her since he does not want her to be punished.
Hebiichigo tells Metal that it doesn’t matter if she leaves or not. Kagura has erased her curse mark, and they can’t fight the Funamushi with only this many people. They were sure to die. She hits Metal, making him unconscious, and leaves.
The pirates don’t find anything suspicious and make plans to enter the village through the ravine. Buntan and Kyoho hear what happened with their friend and go looking for Hebiichigo.
