Boruto Chapter 68: Release Date, Read Online,  Discussion

Chapter 67 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations starts with Naruto looking at his son’s dying face, somehow trying to wake him up.

Eida checks in with Code, asking what he would do now that Boruto, a.k.a his sacrifice, is dead. Code says he’ll have to move on.

Kawaki meanwhile erases Code’s claw marks down to thin lines, cutting off any escape. This results in an epic fight where Kawaki has the upper hand.

Shikamaru tries to talk some sense into a grieving Naruto. Will Naruto blame Kawaki for his son’s death?

Here are the latest updates.

1. Chapter 68 Discussions and Prediction

Is it weird that I’m in love with Eida? I mean, she looks so pretty. While she may look pretty, many fans are upset with how her character revolves around men and romance.

I can’t say I’m happy with the role women seem to have in the whole Naruto franchise, either.

The juicy bit of this chapter was when Code responded to Eida’s questions about Amado by saying he had taken the appropriate measures. After that, we’re immediately shown Shikamaru, meaning he would be involved somehow.

Did Code do something to Shikamaru to make him a spy? Is there a tiny claw mark on his body that he doesn’t know about? Hopefully, we’ll find out in the next chapter.

5. Chapter 67 Recap

Kawaki has killed Boruto in his effort to save Lord Seventh. Naruto is inconsolable and can’t accept that his son is dying. Eida asks Code what he plans to do now that his sacrifice Boruto is dead.

Code says he’ll move on, and Eida warns him. If he touches even a hair on Kawaki’s head, he’ll be sorry. Code doesn’t respond to this. He yells at Kawaki for killing his sacrifice and tells him his increased strength does not mean he’s free.

Code kicks Shikamaru away and tries to disappear from his claw marks. Kawaki makes his claw marks disappear into thin strokes, meaning Code can’t run away. Kawaki then attacks Code, and they fight.

Shikamaru tries to console Naruto, who’s come out of his sage mode. He asks Naruto to help take Code down. Boruto chose to die and protect the rest of them. Meanwhile, Code realizes that Kawaki is overpowering him.

Kawaki tells Code he’ll get rid of anyone who wants to hurt Naruto, even the person who secretly instructs Code.

Code puts a claw mark on his body and brings out Daemon, whose reflecting technique directs Kawaki’s explosive power back at him.

Code checks the unconscious Kawaki’s pulse and assures Eida that her prince is alive. He says he’s got to have his limiters taken out, and he will make Amado do it. He then runs off through a claw mark.

Shikamaru expresses concern over what Kawaki did to Boruto, and Naruto says it wasn’t his fault. As they fight, Shikamaru says Kawaki killed his son. Boruto wakes up, asking who was killed.

Momoshiki healed Boruto using Ohtsutsuki data, and now it means Momoshiki can never resurrect.

It also means Boruto is now a complete Ohtsutsuki, so he will be the perfect sacrifice for Tentails. Code will figure it, and when he does, he’ll come for Boruto.

Eida asks Code what he plans to do about his limiters. Amado lives in the heart of Konoha, and Code doesn’t have a single claw mark there. Code says that he has just the scheme.
