With Masashi Kishimoto taking charge of the action, we were sure in for an exciting chapter. However, chapter 53 of Boruto has left us all speechless. Where do I even start with the surprises?
Isshiki is defeated, Kawaki learns the shadow clone jutsu, Boruto turns into Momoshiki. Too many things are happening all at once. So let’s take a quick look at what went down and get to know what awaits us in the next chapter.
1. Isshiki is Defeated
Kawaki uses the shadow clone jutsu to deceive Isshiki. Isshiki implants the karma within a clone, with just seconds left to his life. By the time he realizes his mistake, it is too late.
Isshiki’s form starts crumbling down as he realizes that his own vessel has killed him. The person who he looked down upon was the one who ended him. Kawaki learnt the jutsu from Naruto and gave it his all to save the 7th Hokage.
Boruto Possessed by Momoshiki & Sasuke’s Rinnegan Destroyed!
The joyous mood of Isshiki being defeated is soon interrupted by Boruto who flies out of the blue and stabs Sasuke right in his left eye. We are still left unsure whether Sasuke has lost his Rinnegan yet.
Boruto’s body is possessed by Momoshiki in times of danger and it helps him survive such situations.
However, this time, Momoshiki seems to have overridden Boruto’s consciousness. This results in him attacking Sasuke’s Rinnegan.
Naruto has just been in a battle with Isshiki and his Baryon mode has left him without any more energy. Sasuke gets stabbed and thus is not in a condition to fight. The only one left is Kawaki.
Will Kawaki be able to face Momoshiki or will Naruto and Sasuke step into the matter again?
