In episode 8 of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, titled “The Shooting Star Project( Zero Mix),” Rukia and Renji’s surgery is over. Ichigo gets Urahara’s letter that mentions him, Inoue, and Yasutora being safe.
Kurotsuchi tells Ichigo that his Zanpakuto can never be fixed. The Great Squad Zero arrives in the Soul Society to take Ichigo, Renji, Rukia, and Byakuya to the Royal Palace.

Episode 9 Speculation
Episode 9 is titled ‘The Drop.’
Now that Ichigo is taken to the Royal Palace, he will be healed completely. He might learn more about his origin and relationship with the Quincies. We are yet to know why Ichigo was taken to the Royal Palace in the first place.
Kirinji will also heal Byakuya, Renji, and Rukia in his hot springs. Byakuya’s injuries were quite severe. We hope he will be healed enough to perform a captain’s duty again.
The next episode is much awaited.

Recap of Episode 8
Isane asks Unohana if their decision to stay back at the Squad 4 barracks during the war was right. Unohana consoles her by saying that it was the last order Yamamoto gave. Ichigo gets Urahara’s letter about him, Inoue, and Yasutora being safe.
Ichigo refuses further medical treatment despite being wounded. Hirako tells Ichigo that Renji and Rukia’s surgery is over. Rukia thanks Ichigo for protecting the Soul Society.
Hirako convinces Ichigo that he drove Yhwach away, preventing further damage to the Soul Society. The captains are distressed about Yamamoto’s body which could not be found.
They are informed that Byakuya and Kenpachi survived, but it will be difficult for them to carry out the captain’s duties. Kyoraku tells them the Thirteen Court Guard Squads do not exist to mourn the dead but to protect the Soul Society.
Kurotsuchi tells Ichigo that since his Zanpakuto is destroyed in Bankai form, it can never be restored. The Great Squad Zero, which consists of five members, arrives through Tenchuren, a transport vehicle.
Kyoraku tells Ichigo that the combined power of the five members is stronger than the whole of Thirteen Court Guard Squads. They seem to have come to rebuild the Thirteen Court Guard Squads and take Renji, Byakuya, and Rukia with them for their recovery and Ichigo for another reason.
Unohana refuses initially but agrees later. Urahara calls Ichigo to tell him not to worry about them and decide for himself. Ichigo asks if his Tensa Zangetsu can be fixed. Ichibe assures him that though it cannot be repaired, they can reforge it like his original sword.
Ichigo agrees to go to the Royal Palace with the Great Squad Zero. After reaching the Royal Palace, he thinks about Aizen, who desperately wants to come to that place.
Ichibe explains that The Soul King transformed the bones of the Squad Zero members to Ouken, without which one cannot enter the Royal Palace.
Kirio further explains to him that they are at the main entrance, then there is the main shrine Reio Greater Palace where the Soul King resides, and the five floating structures around it are Squad Zero Riden, where the five members live. Kirinji tells Ichigo that they will first go to his Kirinden. Kirinji soaks Ichigo, Renji, Byakuya, and Rukia in his hot spring to heal them.
