Episode 7 Speculation
Episode 7 is titled ‘Born in the Dark.’
Yhwach straight-up stole Yamamoto’s Bankai and attacked him. Episode 6 ended with Yamamoto being cut through his shoulder by Yhwach. The injury looks lethal, and we cannot be sure if Yamamoto can fight Yhwach any further. Will this be the end of Yamamoto?
Yhwach met Sosuke Aizen to make him join Wandenreich as they have the same enemy. Aizen declines this offer, disappointing Yhwach. Will Aizen play a crucial part in the further episodes?

Recap of Episode 6
Yhwach has defeated Kenpachi and is holding him by the neck. Yamamoto takes him away from Yhwach. Yamamoto is determined to kill Yhwach and end all of it. Three of the Stern Ritter come to attack Yamamoto but are killed in a single blow by him. Yamamoto attacks almost instantly and injures Yhwach’s arm.
Seeing Yamamoto’s rage, Yhwach is reminded of the past when they had fought. They start fighting with seemingly no end to it. Yamamoto makes Yhwach draw his sword. After saying that, all of Yamamoto’s flames vanish, and the soul society’s moisture tends to dry up.
It is because Yamamoto used his Bankai, Zanka no Tachi. Yamamoto tells Yhwach to see for himself if it is as same as it was 1000 years ago.
Meanwhile, Ishida reads about Quincy’s Extermination Operation that occurred 1000 years ago and not 200 years ago. About 1000 years ago, Licht Reich, the Quincy empire, wanted to kill the Hollows.
Since the Soul Society had opposed them, the Quincies invaded the Soul Society only to be defeated by the Thirteen Court Guard Squads. About 200 years ago, the Soul Reapers decided to kill the remaining Quincies as they might disrupt the circulation of souls.
Yamamoto uses Zanka no Tachi East, Kyokujitsujin, where all his flames are concentrated into the tip of his blades. Yhwach tries to fight without getting touched by the sword’s tip. Yamamoto aims to hit Yhwach, but he dodges, and the area bordered by the sword blows off, leaving no trace.
Yhwach’s blade breaks when he attacks Yamamoto. Yamamoto uses Zanka no Tachi West, Zanjistsu Gokui, where the heat he emits is 15 million degree celsius.
Yhwach feels himself burning and is just saved by Blut. As Yamamoto proceeds toward him, Yhwach uses Kirchinleid, Sankt Zwinger defensive incantation.
To counter it, Yamamoto uses Zanka no Tachi South, Kakajumanokushidaisojin, where he wakes the ones who died from his flames by heating their ashes. Yhwach becomes alarmed to see his dead subordinates.
Yamamoto finally uses Zanka no Tachi North, Tenji on Yhwach, which slices his body into two parts. As Yamamoto thinks it is all over, Yhwach apologizes to his master.
Yamamoto, stunned, asks him about his identity. The real Yhwach presents himself. It is revealed that Stern Ritter Y was impersonating Yhwach and fighting Yamamoto under Yhwach’s orders.
Yhwach was trying to join hands with Aizen, who was in the Central Underground Great Prison. Yhwach steals Yamamoto’s Bankai as he is the only person able to handle Yamamoto’s powerful Bankai. Yhwach draws his sword and attacks Yamamoto.
