In episode 10 of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, titled “The Drop”, Ichigo and Renji get healed by Captain Kinriji and they head off to Kirio Hikifune’s palace.
There, they are fed a number of dishes which Kirio reveals are packed with Soul King’s power and the history of Soul Society. Their next destination is Nimaiya’s Palace, the man who created Zanpakuto.
Kyoraku is appointed as the new head captain. Despite pushback, he appoints two lieutenants for Squad 1 – Okikiba and Ise. Unohana and Zaraki clash blades in the underground prison, Muken.

Episode 10 Speculation
Unohana and Zaraki will be continuing their duel in episode 10, titled “The Battle”. As Unohana continues to kill and revive Zaraki again and again, he will probably catch on soon to what is happening. But she will continue to push him until Zaraki is able to counter her final strike. We may also be getting more information on Unohana.
Ichigo and Renji will reach Nimaiya’s palace. We will be seeing why Kirio cautioned them against him. As he is the creator of Zanpakuto, he may be a bit too overbearing for the boys to handle. Here’s hoping they come out alive and well.

Recap of Episode 9
Captain Kyoraku receives a letter announcing his appointment as Head Captain and Captain of Squad 1. Ichigo and Renji recuperates in Captain Kinriji’s Hot Springs. Kinriji punches both of them to see if they are healed or not.
As both of them takes his punch well, Kinriji sends them to Kirio Hikifune’s palace. He notices that Ichigo was able to strike his fist when he punched him earlier and understands Soul King’s fascination with him.
Meanwhile, in Central Underground Assembly Hall, Kyoraku proposes both Okikiba and Ise be made his lieutenants. When his idea is resisted, he reminds everyone that he has the power to appoint anyone as a lieutenant since he is the squad captain.
He also announces that he intends to teach Zanjutsu to Zaraki Kenpachi as he will be an important asset in the battle, now that Captain Kuchiki and others are in Royal Palace and they are unaware if they will return safely.
Ichigo and Renji reach Gatoden, Kirio’s palace. To their surprise, they are served a huge lavishing meal instead of some kind of training like they thought. After eating heartily, Ichigo questions if they should really be relaxing when everyone in Seireitei is training.
Renji reminds him that they were just badly injured in battle and this is a way to build up their strength for the tough training ahead.
Kirio applauds Renji for understanding their intentions. She tells them that all the rituals in the Royal Palace are packed with Soul King’s Power and their society’s history so it helps in rebuilding their bodies.
Ichigo and Renji are shocked at seeing Kirio, who is now thin and looks completely different, and she tells them she uses her spiritual pressure while cooking which makes her lose weight.
Kirio also reveals that the concept of Gikon came from her temporary soul technology which is why she is part of Squad Zero. Her food has thus, filled their bodies with Spiritual Pressure. She cautions them against the next palace which is Nimaiya’s, the man who created Zanpakuto.
In Muken, Captain Unohana, captain of Squad 11 which is considered to be the strongest in their history, clashes swords with Zaraki, on Kyoraku’s orders.
Zaraki recalls how he has admired Unohana since the first time they met because of her strength as Unohana stabs his throat. Suddenly, he is brought back by Unohana’s voice and his wound is gone. Unohana states she will push him to death and revive him to make him stronger.

The arc deals with Yhwach, the leader of the Quincies, who has declared war on the Soul Society. Ichigo and the Soul Reapers will face this despicable enemy.
