Because of this, personal problems in the artist’s life are mostly hidden from the public and very few readers realise that this may be the reason behind the hiatus of their favourite manga.

Yūki Tabata is the author and illustrator of the famous manga, Black Clover. In the latest issue of Shonen Jump, he left an author’s note stating the death of his father-in-law.

The author’s note section is used by mangakas to interact with fans and show glimpses of their lives. Tabata is known to share personal feelings with his fans.

This note has left fans concerned about the mental health of the artist and his family. It is evident through the note that Tabata was close to his father-in-law and was grateful for his support towards Black Clover.

Fans understand the effect it can have on a person’s life and are showing support for Tabata. Many are even suggesting he take a small break from work. Previously, he had shared that he kept passing out for some reason and could not produce the usual amount of pages for Black Clover and apologized to the readers for short chapters.

Tabata has been more straightforward with fans than other authors and readers agree that he deserves a rest. He has gone through the hardships of raising a child, physical weakness and now a loved one’s death while balancing his work life and private life.

We suggest you take rest sensei! We can wait for a few chapters. Get well soon.
