While all of us were putting our faiths on Asta and Liebe, Yuki Tabata was preparing to focus on other magic knights as well. Black Bull’s Magna has been stealing the attention in Black Clover’s latest chapters.
Little did we know that he will achieve a feat as humongous as defeating Dante! Black Clover’s chapter 194 confirms Magna’s victory and has established his position in the final arc.
Magna Defeats Dante
Magna defeated Dante alone, the same Dante who was barely defeated by Asta and Yami together. Magna’s achievement seems almost unbelievable since Dante’s power is now at 100%.
Chapter 192 and 193 showed just how much Magna had to brainstorm and train in order to use this power. He bet his whole life on it, and it finally paid off.
Bonus panel! Asta, being all cute and puppy-eyed with sparkles around him while appreciating Magna, serves as a relief after all the action-heavy panels.
Jack Finishes off the Remnants
After Asta, Magna and Luck went off to save Yami, Dante’s body started regenerating. However, he had lost complete control over his powers. Jack had stayed back and was able to put an end to Dante, once and for all.
Jack’s last attack didn’t take away the focus from Magna but also put a cap on Dante’s story.
Tree of Qliphoth Weakened
The Tree of Qliphoth was opened by the powers of the Dark Triad. Since one of the trio, Dante, was defeated, it is expected that the channel’s power will grow weaker.
In chapter 194, a part of the ritual’s magic circle disappears, and the advent of devils from the underworld slowed down. Thus if Vanica and Zenon are defeated as well, there is a higher chance of the magic channel getting completely closed.
Vanica has already started clashing against Noelle. The last boss left is Zenon. Zenon is the most logical and cool-headed of the trio. He is not battle-crazy like Vanica, neither is he blind with his power like Dante. Taking him down will be significantly more complex than the others.
Yami still needs to be rescued, and we don’t know his current condition yet. However, the Black Bull squad’s heroes are on their way to save their mentor. It is a race against time to defeat the trio before a nightmarish devil emerges.
