Black Clover Episode 117 – New Theme Songs Introduces New Characters

Black Clover recently got its brand new opening and ending theme songs. The 115th episode also introduced the Devil of Kotodama Magic, the oldest villain in the Clover Kingdom

Black Clover is back again with the new year surprises, and like so many other series, Black Clover has hopped the train of new theme songs. Episode 116 had a brand new set of theme songs that hints at the series’ future.

They tend to be the 10th ones for the series, and it introduces a couple of new characters (new for the anime watchers) that don’t appear until much later in the manga.

The opening theme is done in black and white. It has an upbeat rock jam feel, and it’s definitely worth listening to. It also introduces a few characters who appear later in the manga, so for the manga readers, it will be easy to pick the spoilers. The ending theme is entirely different from the opening as it features a slow rock feel.

Just before the ending theme song reveals those new characters, a slide containing the group of villains of the Reincarnation arc is shown. All this leads to a strong hint that the anime will continue beyond the Reincarnation Arc, which is quite fascinating because there is no news regarding the continuation of the series from the franchise yet.

So it looks like it’s up to us to guess that, and if you look at the anime’s popularity, it will be criminal not to continue it further.
