The fight between Asta, Yuno, and Lucius Zogratis is still going on, and is now getting broadcast live to the citizens of Clover Kingdom, as Lucius wanted people to see Asta getting struck down live. Asta indeed did get struck by Lucius toward the end of the chapter, which has left fans dumbstruck.

2. Recap of Chapters 379 & 380 of Black Clover
The latest release of Black Clover revealed something huge. The Lucius Asta and Yuno have been fighting was a clone all along, and the real Lucius was busy connecting all the grimoire towers all around the Clover Kingdom. He explained that when people died, their grimoires went back to the grimoire towers, so if he harnessed all the grimoires from every grimoire tower, he would have an endless arsenal of spells.
Right after this, Lucius went and collected The Purple Ocars’ former captain, Revchi Salik, and Marx, brought them up to Asta and killed them right in front of him, and stole their spells. He then attacked Asta and Yuno with their spells and used Marx’s magic to broadcast the whole situation to the citizens of Clover Kingdom.
As their battle drew out, Ryudo realised from afar that Lucius was concentrating a lot of mana on the crystal on his chest, so he asked Asta to attack the crystal with his anti-magic. This was easier said than done, though, as the next thing Asta knew, Lucuis had conjured his mother, Licita, and at her sight, Liebe refused to attack her. As a direct consequence of this confusion, Asta got struck by Lucius mid-air.
Asta and Liebe getting cut was a huge blow, and it shaved off a bit of everyone’s strength. However, no one was willing to accept that Asta could die from this. No time was given for anyone to feel bad for Asta, though, as Lucius used his newfound magic to control every corpse around to have them fight their dear ones. Just when people thought he couldn’t get more despicable, he tried to attack Asta again to ensure that he dies. Yuno knew he couldn’t hold back anymore at that point, so he released Neverland and went all-out against Lucius in an attempt to keep Asta alive for at least a second more.
Yuno was far from being able to scratch Lucius even after releasing Neverland. He was willing to take this risk because he trusted that his allies would still make it without his protection. When Lucius told Yuno that there isn’t a single person who could defeat him, Asta told Yuno that he hadn’t given up, and that he’d be joining Yuno soon. He then gave Yuno a bit of his anti-magic, which was exactly the power-up Yuno needed to face Lucius.
3. What To Expect In Chapter 381 of Black Clover?
The latest chapter of Black Clover ended with Yuno’s left half getting wrapped with anti-magic that was granted to him by Asta. With this, Yuno now wields two swords of different elements, which will surely give him an edge in battle. This would surely not be enough to beat Lucius, though, as the man has access to every spell that humanity has learned.
While Yuno buys time for Asta to get back, someone will have to step up and heal Liebe and Asta, as the two couldn’t possibly return in tip-top condition without help. The upcoming chapters of Black Clover will feature a heated battle between Yuno and Lucius, which will likely end with Asta re-entering the battle.
