Black Clover has been focusing on the main characters for quite some time now. However, it looks like Tabata is ready to amp up those who were being sidelined.
Chapter 291 of Black Clover shows Magna Swing getting a huge power-up! He takes over the reins from Jack the Ripper and is determined to show that he is not a weak Magic Knight.
He has combined and enhanced his pre-existing powers to reach the optimum state.
Magna Swing’s Power-up
Magna is going against Dante in the latest Black Clover chapter and is looked down upon by Dante. Magna blasts Dante with one of his fire magic explosions and hides his restraining magic attack behind it.
As soon as the chain made of flames touches Dante, he is stripped of his 100% state! Dante was able to use 100% of Lucifero’s power ever since the Tree of Qliphoth’s first gate had opened but now he can’t access the power anymore.
The new power is called Soul Chain Deathmatch and it has evenly split the power of Magna and Dante. Dante is shocked as he had never imagined that someone could strip him of his power. Magna takes this opportunity to punch him with the knuckleduster.
How did Magna Manage to Engage Dante?
In the latest arc, Dante has become extremely powerful and ordinary Magic Knights can’t even dream of defeating him. You will need at least Asta’s level to defeat the monster.
Yet, Magna was able to take Dante by surprise. It looks like Magna was preparing his new attack when Dante was fighting against the Black Bulls. However, Magna did not fight since his power was still developing. Now, he has fully developed his powers.
Dante under-estimated Magna and that was his first mistake. Catching him off-guard became much easier for Magna and Dante’s lack of physical prowess also acted in Magna’s favor.
Can Magna Defeat Dante?
The chapter ended with Dante getting punched but we all know that such attacks cannot defeat Dante. Just like Jack, there is a chance of Dante defeating Magna as well. His regenerative powers are what make him an especially strong opponent.
The next chapter might show Magna persevering through Dante’s attacks until someone even stronger can appear. Asta is now even more powerful than before but needs 30 minutes to recover from the last Unite with Liebe. If Magna can hold his ground for that long, Asta might reach his location to help.
In chapter 291, Magna has proved that it is not just Asta, Yuno, or Nacht who are strong. The other Magic Knights have become forces to be reckoned with as well. Maybe he has other spells in store? Will Dante be taken by surprise once again?
