In the last chapter, Yuki Tabata concluded Nacht’s flashback by revealing how his brother Morgan died. Apparently, it wasn’t on a mission with Yami, he died while protecting Nacht when a devil ritual went wrong.
By the end of the chapter, we see Nacht claiming that he’ll be the shield of humanity against the two high-ranking devils and won’t let the former get hurt by the latter. He goes on to say Yami’s famous words that he will surpass his limits during the ongoing fight.

The chapter starts with Nacht being badly impaled by the two higher-end devils as he reminisces about the day Yami came to Morgen’s grave and asked Nacht to do something better with his life and join the squad.
The scene shifts back to the present, we see Nacht activating the power of all four devils in one go and attacking the devil with his full might. However, it looks like the Bulls vice-captain fell short.
The devils easily overpower Nacht who’s losing blood like it’s nothing, one of the devils tries to slit his throat but is stopped by Asta. YES! MY PREDICTIONS CAME TRUE! Asta swoops in to save his mentor by cutting the arm of the devil.

It looks like Nacht’s House of Faust had always been into demonology included the current Bull-vice-captain himself. Nacht’s brother Morgen dies while saving the former when a ritual goes wrong.
The poor younger brother thinks that he should’ve been the dead one and tries to change his ways. Back to the present, we see Nacht getting impaled again as he remembers his vow to protect ‘good people’ against evil and then he utters the magical words –
I will surpass my limits, right here, right now!
