Asta faces off against the man who declared himself to be the strongest of Ryuzen Seven, Yosuga Mushogatake, in chapter 345 of Black Clover, titled “Unprepared.”
Ryu ordered him and another member of Ryuzen Seven, Fujio Tenmanyashiki, to help Asta get stronger. However, it seems like Asta’s doubts are holding him back.
As the five-headed dragon causes havoc, the rest of the Ryuzen Seven prepares to fight against Sister Lily and the other paladins. Kezokaku, one of the members, stuns Lily with her first attack, and one of her horns gets cut off.

The chapter begins with a flashback of Ryu breaking up Asta’s and Ichika’s fight. Sensing danger, he asks her to head off to fight to prevent the destruction of their country. In the present time, Asta is engaged in a training battle with Yosuga Mushogatake, a member of Ryuzen Seven who proclaimed himself as the strongest member in the last chapter. Asta is having trouble keeping up with his Zetten and keeps getting defeated.
However, another member, Fujio Tenmanyashiki, keeps healing him and recharging his strength with his Yojutsu. Both of them want to go help their comrades, but on Ryu’s orders, helping Asta get stronger is the priority.
Mushogatake is impressed by Asta’s skills but tells him he cannot perfect Zetten because of his hesitation and lack of conviction while there is nothing his blade cannot cut. Asta realizes that he has doubted himself over not being able to protect Sister Lily and defeat Lucius.
His faith in himself has been wavering since he thought he can’t get any stronger. He couldn’t even beat Ichika. Furthermore, the fact that Yuno may have been able to protect Sister Lily and defeat Lucius, as he is the one who got to the grand magic knight first and still keeps getting stronger, haunts him.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Ryuzen Seven face off against Sister Lily and the other two paladins. A member named Kezokaku seemingly appears terrified, and Ichika chides her to draw her sword. Lily thinks this will be an easy battle but is taken aback as Kezokaku suddenly slashes her cheek and cuts off one of her horns.
Kezokaku’s whole demeanor changes, and she announces she will make it rain blood. Lily recovers from the initial shock, heals her wounds, and calls Kezokaku vulgar.
