The chapter “Returning Alive” begins with a Zenon who’s been sliced in two by Yuno. In his last moments, he thinks how alike Yuno and Zenon’s journeys have been, but what difference made them who they are today? You’ve got bigger things to worry about man, you’ve been sliced in half.
Yuno says he doesn’t know, but he still has to keep the rival pact with Asta, just like Zenon had made with his friend years ago. Yuno just had to rub it in that he didn’t kill his rival/friend, didn’t he?
As Zenon dies, the structure they were in crumbles. The flash of light and the collapsing building makes Asta scream in caps lock as usual.
