In episode 2 of Bibliophile Princess, it appears that my assessment of Irene’s character last week was utterly incorrect. Elianna and Irene would become close friends after this whole thing with Irene was over.
Elianna was dumbfounded during Irene’s entire accusation because all of her allegations were ridiculous. How Irene reacted when Chris pointed out Elianna would not be able to push her while carrying all that paper and books was so cute.

Episode 3 Speculation
It surprised me how quickly the rivalry/jealousy plot ended. That was something I thought would last a while. I was hoping that Elianna’s knowledge would be helpful. I loved the part where she helped out so much.
Looking forward to seeing where the show goes next, will there be more trials, or will they grow as a group? In the upcoming episodes, we will see more of these moments. I’m looking forward to seeing all the funny/thrilling moments when the new episode premiers.

Episode 2 Recap
It was a mystery to me. My passion for literature has made me an active bibliophile princess.” Am I right? The more I listen to Irene’s nonsense, the more I wonder, “when did Elianna do all that?” The girl is at the library all the time.
I knew that girl was a snake from the moment I saw her. That statement she spat out there wasn’t necessary, and she shouldn’t have spewed them out.
This Duke Palcas guy was responsible for all the hush-hush last week. But about Elianna, do you think there could be an assassination plot? I’m blown away.
No doubt the Duke was dirty, and it was all because Elianna made an offhand comment. Elianna’s bookworm tendencies are paying off, as she seems to be loved by everyone! Without even knowing it, she has made significant contributions to the kingdom.
It turns out Irene and her father were partners-in-crime in this, to the extent that they tried to assassinate Elianna (and committed other crimes as well).
Thanks to Christopher and company, Elianna could be protected from the criminals while their crimes were exposed. Alan (Gen Sato!) getting all cozy with Irene in anticipation of the big reveal gives him bonus points.
Irene and her father are led off to face judgment for their crimes, and Christopher manages to win over the one individual left opposed to him marrying Elianna; this all seems to have been orchestrated in some senses in an effort to expose and arrest Irene and her father at the same time as showcasing Elianna’s abilities.
Her first encounter with Christopher was as a child; he has been after her ever since.

Bibliophile Princess is a light novel series by Yui which was serialized from 2015 to 2022. It has also received a manga adaptation which is illustrated by Yui.
The plot follows Elianne, a bookworm who is engaged to the prince of the country. She thinks that it is a marriage of convenience, and the prince lets her read books in the palace to her heart’s content. Suddenly she feels like her position in the palace as well as in the prince’s heart is in danger.
