Beastars manga follows the story of Legos, a timid gray wolf at the Cherryton Academy. The murder of a fellow student set off a wave of unease and distrust between the herbivores and carnivores.

4. Recap of Chapter 186
I. Shishigumi’s pride
Chapter 186, titled “A Black Parachute That Was Made to Be Opened at This Day,” begins with the Shishigumi kidnapping Louis, their car gets chased by the cops.
Inside the car, Louis tells the lions he could inform the police this is not a kidnapping, and he voluntarily wanted to go to the Back-alley market, but the police may think he was forced into saying that. For the sake of their old days, the lions make Louis take their roll calls. Kyuu wonders just how Louis tamed these lions to make them so smitten for him.
The police fire at their car, and Agata gets worked up; he jumps out of the car to buy some time and distract the police. After making his flashy appearance, half the Shishigumi members stand tall in front of the police car, blocking their way, and the cops tell them to surrender.
II. Louis to meet Legos!
Louis escapes with the remaining member in his car and the police call for reinforcements to catch them. Agata announces that the Shishigumi has temporarily disbanded.
In the vehicle, Louis tries to get the apprehended members released as soon as possible. Kyuu finally understands that Louis did not tame the lions but has gone through hard times to become the kind of animal he is today.
Louis and Kyuu watch the sea as they drive off, an unimaginable view for them in their childhood. They finally get off at the Back-alley market and rush to reach Legos; after making it at the scene, Louis is stunned to watch the figure in front of him and questions, “Is that Legosi?” ending this chapter at a cliffhanger.
