Berserk fans it’s time to assemble, no we aren’t going to talk about Berserk today but about BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy Season 2 which is filled with all sorts of dark genre stuff from Gore to violence.
On Wednesday, the staff for the new anime of Kazushi Hagiwara’s BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- action manga started streaming the third promotional video for the second season, Bastard!! Ankoku no Hakaishin: Jigoku no Chinkonka-hen (BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-: Hell’s Requiem”).
The new trailer previews the second season’s opening theme song, “NEW DAWN,” by Coldrain.
The storyline will follow the original manga’s arc of the same name, with Dark Schneider and his team facing off against powerful enemies, including the Sorcerer Shogun swordsman Ran Di Rhodes Stein Neubauten, played by Daisuke Hirakawa.
The new 15-episode season will premiere all at once on Netflix worldwide on July 31. It will feature a returning staff. Singer Tielle performs the ending theme song “La Muse perdue.”
I highly recommend the ‘Bastard!!’ anime, as it is so uniquely intriguing, and since there probably won’t be another Berserk anime anytime soon, this is probably the closest we’ll get.

The protagonist, Dark Schneider, is a wizard who is feared more than the evil creatures who haunt the people. The series is filled with rage, horror, sorcery, and power struggles. It is a perfect fit for Berserk fans.
