Baldur’s Gate 3 will allow players to respec characters and fix mistakes

Larian Studios’ developers are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to build the perfect full-fledged RPG game with tons of side quests and lore to get lost in. The developers have mentioned that Baldur’s Gate 3 will feature 174 hours of cutscenes in the final release.

Ahead of the game’s official release, Larian Studios explained that the official launch of Baldur’s Gate 3 would expand the game to 11 races, 12 classes and 46 subclasses. They have confirmed in the YouTube livestream that via an NPC in-game, players would be able to rest their “class and reinvest all of the levels.”

With the game being very expansive, this was a generous choice on the part of the developers. The ability to respec characters means less time spent regretting choices and more time to kill enemies.

The decision to allow respec was because Baldur’s Gate 3 will feature multi-classing, allowing one character to embody more than one class at once. It might lead to inadvertent weak characters, ruining the experience.

The developers have confirmed that it will take about 75 hours to 100 hours to beat Baldur’s Gate 3. This takes into account the hardest “Tactical” available level of difficulty.

At the showcase, Larian Studios’ Creative Director, Swen Vincke, revealed that Tactical Difficulty mode will make the players cry.

Baldur’s Gate 3 was initially slated for a 31st August release; this would be very close to the much-hyped Starfield by developers Bethesda. This is why the Dungeons and Dragons-based RPG was moved to August 3 for PC.

PlayStation 5 users will have to wait a little over a month, with the release date being September 6th. There will be no Xbox Series version of Baldur’s Gate 3 as the developers faced some difficulties optimizing the game for Xbox Series S.
