Episode 5 was nothing less than a horror film with an appropriate amount of comedy elements in it.
Although the storyline didn’t progress much, the way the players of the two rival teams got along with each other in a scary game of ‘hide & seek’ was worth the watch.
Coming to their current status, the joint training campaign has come to an end. The two teams are looking forward to the Northeast Japan Sports Tournament. But before that, Ao High boys need to win regionals.

1. Episode 6 Speculation
Episode 6 will take us to the new start to the Ao High player, where they will be focussing on their new training strategy. Shichigahama instructed them to treat each other as rivals.
Their priority should be the regional matches, and by performing well there, they can aim for the Northeast Japan Sports Tournament. They still have to work a lot on their 6-men combination, and I am pretty sure that they will achieve perfection in no time.
We may also get to know about the incident that made Coach Shida leave rhythmic gymnastics.

Episode 6 of the Bakuten: Backflip anime has been released on Sunday, May 16, 2021. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

3. Episode 5 Recap
Episode 5 was more like a filler episode with negligible progress to the main storyline.
Mashiro suggests a game of hide and seek, and the two coaches agree to this childish demand to appreciate their friendly rivalry.
The rules are, there will be two ‘Its,’ and the team who will manage to stay hidden longer shall win. The two captains are chosen as ‘its’ through a game of rock, paper, and scissors.
A simple game of hide and seek gets so intense when they find out that the school is haunted by a ghost. Although they act tough, all of them are scared of the spooky environment.
Futaba takes this opportunity to spend more time with Misato and Mashiro and know them well. Mashiro tells Futaba how he got inspired by Misato and ended up surpassing him.
Meanwhile, the two coaches discuss how rhythmic gymnastics sports is gaining more and more audience every day.
Mabuchi regrets Shida’s departure from the sport because of his injury. This hints to us that something awful must have happened that changed Shida completely.
The two captains are more focused on quarrelling than finding their hidden friends. Thankfully, all of them confront a strange and scary security guard, who escorts all of them back to the school’s waiting room.
Later, when the actual guard came to the room, he shocks everyone by revealing that no other security guard was on duty at this late hour. Then who was that strange person who brought them here?
I am none of them will dare to go back to the haunted school to find it out.

Bakuten!! is a rhythmic gymnastics anime telling the story of a high school gymnastic team in Miyagi prefecture.
Directed by Toshimasa Kuroyanagi with ZEXCS studios this anime premiered in April of 2021 by Fuji TV under the notaminA block.
The anime is said to be a joint collaboration between Misaki no Mayoiga and Hula Fulla Dance to promote Miyagi, Iwate, and Fukushima prefectures.
The “Zutto Ōen Project 2011 + 10…” is a memorandum to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami 10 years ago.
