On November 22, the official website for the anime adaptation of Kentaro Yabuki’s Ayakashi Triangle manga released a new promotional video for the television anime. The video previews the opening theme song “Neppu wa Ruten-suru” by Philosophy no Dance and reveals a January 9 debut.
The ending theme song “Itowanai feat. Miyu Tomita and Kana Ichinose” is being performed by MIMiNARI. The anime will premiere on Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11 before airing on Tokyo MX, YTV, and TV Aichi.
Ayakshi Triangle’s plot revolves around an exorcist ninja Matsuri Kazamaki, as he attempts to defend his childhood friend, the Ayakashi Medium Suzu Kanade, from evil spirits called ayakashi.
However, things don’t go as planned when during a battle to save Suzu’s life, Matsuri is turned into a girl due to a curse by the King of Ayakashi.
Unable to find a cure for the curse, Matsuri is then forced to live as a girl for the foreseeable future as he and Suzu navigate the malicious ayakashi they encounter and their changing friendship.
The anime is being directed by Noriaki Akitaya at Studio CONNECT, with Kei Umabiki as assistant director. The series scriptwriter is Shogo Yasukawa and Hideki Furukawa is designing the characters. Jin Aketagawa is the sound director, with Rei Ishizuka as music composer.
The anime’s main cast includes Shōya Chiba as male Matsuri, Miyu Tomita as female Matsuri, Chika Anzai as Suzu, and Tesshō Genda as Shirogane, the ayakashi king.
The Ayakashi Triangle manga was originally launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in June 2020. Shueisha released the manga’s 11th compiled volume book on November 4.

The story focuses on Kazamaki Matsuri, a teen ninja exorcist who fights ayakashi. When his childhood best friend, Suzu, is in danger of being devoured by a spirit, he stands as a barrier and gets cursed.
Due to the curse, his body transforms into that of the girl. Now, Matsuri has to get accustomed to his new body while trying to protect Suzu and undo the curse.
