How to fix Dying Light 2 Authority Pack DLC not working issue on PS5?

Techland has just released the first set of DLC for its new first person zombie survival title, Dying Light 2. The developers have already announced that the game will receive additional gameplay and content throughout the following five years, and this is just the first phase of it.

This first Dying Light 2 DLC, called “The Authority Pack,” will be rolled out in three stages. The first stage is already out, and it contains the following cosmetics: Chest piece, Joggers, and Sneakers. Players can download this DLC for Dying Light 2 across all the platforms for absolutely free.

But unfortunately, PS5 players across the globe are unable to download and use the Authority Pack DLC. In some instances, the cosmetics are not showing up in the game, while in others, the DLC won’t even download and give out the error code CE-107880-4.

The Authority Pack DLC is not working on PS5 due to a bug on developer’s end that only Techland’s team can fix. Unfortunately, the developers have not acknowledged this bug as of now, so it has no fix.

At the time of writing, it is not confirmed what the actual reason behind this error is, but it is most likely that the add-on/DLC file is not optimized for PS5. When the players hit “download” on DLC, the system ends up downloading a PS4 version of the file, which is unsupported on PS5.

Ultimately, there is nothing that PS5 users can do right now to troubleshoot or fix this bug except wait for Techland’s developer team to flag and solve the issue from their end.

The second set of Authority Pack DLC is coming out on Wednesday, February 16th, that will give players a set of gauntlets, a windbreaker, and some leather guards. The final phase of Authority Pack DLC will similarly be out on Friday, February 18th, which will bring Authority hammer to the game.

Looking at the issue on hand, it is more than possible that PS5 users will not be able to access these next phases of the free Authority Pack DLC as well until the bug is fixed.

About Dying Light 2 Stay Human

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is a sequel to Techland’s 2015 open-world, zombie parkour action-adventure title Dying Light.

The game puts you in the shoes of Aiden Caldwell and is set 20 years after the first game’s events. You will be based in the City, located in Europe, and have free reign of the map and how you wish to traverse the area. Parkour will be your most used form of transport in the game, and the crafting system is also making a return.

There is also a decision system where your choices through the story affect the world around you. This could lead to more opportunities to earn resources, unlock shortcuts, and, most importantly, make the lives of those in the City more easy or difficult.
