Even if you are an anime-only fan, I doubt you have escaped the spoilers that were flooding the internet when the manga ended. Nonetheless, an epic conclusion still awaits us, the fact that it will wrench out your heart is a topic for another day.

While Funimation had listed the debut date as “Winter 2021,” none of us knew a confirmed date for sure, that is till now.

It was recently announced that Attack on Titan: Final Season’s second cour will be released in January 2022. The upcoming episode 76 is titled “Danzai,” which means ‘sentencing’ or ‘judgment.’

Not only are we receiving a January premiere, but a new compiled OAD will also be released before the anime’s broadcast. The DVD will contain the story thus far from the perspectives of Levi, Annie, Mikasa, and others.

Many fans were dissatisfied by the manga’s ending and are hoping for an anime original conclusion. Yet, there are no signs of contemplation on the part of Isayama to change the ending.

The Final Season’s first cour ended with Eren barely avoiding death and is about to get down to an epic battle against Reiner. The air is charged and Eren has been beautifully developed as an anti-hero.

Episode 76 is going to be the first time when we can observe Eren using the powers of the War Hammer Titan.

So get ready for the ending of a series that has been with us through thick and thin. Yes, the conclusion might mentally cripple you for a few days, but believe me, the climax and clear-up of Eren’s actions will be totally worth it.
