Attack on Titan Chapter 132: Release Date, Raw Scans, Spoilers

While we enjoyed Jean’s dreams and chapter 127 at Attack on Titan’s lighter side of things, chapter 128 brought us back to the gruesome reality.

Chapter 128 saw a battle b/w the alliance and enemies resulting in the death of some semi-important characters. (Face the reality, they were not important!)

Chapter 130, however, was on a whole new level! The Rumbling has begun!

Eren’s attack commences – tens of Wall Titans are swimming across the ocean while Eren’s attack titan is in a huge skeletal form.

Now, it’s time to talk about the much-awaited chapter 132 of Attack on Titan.

Chapter 132, titled “Wings of Freedom,” will have two major character-deaths in this chapter. Loch will come back unexpectedly and shoot the plane’s fuel tank but is killed by Mikasa’s grappling hook.

The rumbling came, and they had little time, so Hange decided that she will buy them some time. She was also able to kill about two colossal titans but suffers burns and fells.

When she was about to get trampled, we see her meet Erwin and all of the dead scouts; Erwin tells her you’ve done well. Hange dies there and then. Hange and Jean kind of sympathize with Floch beforehand. But Hange says she’s still going to go and stop Eren.

We see the 104th mourn her death. Levi says, “Later, Hange.” They were on the plane, and it succeeded to fly just in time thanks to Hange.

Everyone picks Armin to be the new commander. The Last panel includes Hange and all of the dead survey corps.

Hange: “It was so hard being the commander. And that idiot Eren!”

Erwin replies: “I’ll slowly listen to your story”

To be honest, Iseyama, on a break, makes me even more surprised than Connie watching his mom as a titan!

In its decade long history of serialization, Iseyama has managed to provide one chapter every month. However, the safety matters more than the legacy, right?

Shingeki no Kyojin manga went on a two-month hiatus in April due to the growing COVID-19 pandemic and returned in June’s issue.

4. Where to Read Attack on Titan

Currently, there is no way to read Attack on Titan manga online. However, that feature is not as far as you may think.

Kodansha USA announced last week that they will be going digital with various popular titles, including Fairy Tail and Shingeki no Kyojin.

5. Chapter 131 Plot

The chapter begins with the on-ground perspective of two Middle-Eastern boys during the rumbling – one of whom featured in chapter 123.

Halil(or Harir) and Ramzi are conversing about their acts of stealing money when their conversation is interrupted by a group of Marleyans running for their lives.

Soon Halil and Ramzi witness the valley plunged in a lot of smoke. The chapter switches to Eren’s monologue during the flashback of his visit to Marley with the Survey Corps.

The monologue reveals his self-awareness regarding the plan and how he couldn’t agree with an outcome where Paradis Island was destroyed. Soon, Eren notices Halil being beaten by merchants.

Acknowledging the hypocrisy on his part, Eren saves the boy. Before leaving him, Eren breaks down and apologizes for the crime that he’s about to commit.

He expresses immense guilt and sorrow. The chapter switches between Eren’s guilt-ridden monologue and Halil’s attempt to run away from the Wall Titans.

As Halil dies, the chapter reveals that Eren’s motivations were rooted not only in the protection of Eldians but also in his disappointment of the outside world – one that was not as described in Armin’s book.

Interestingly, before Halil dies, he sees Ymir present near the rubble. The chapter features a flashback of young Eren and Armin discussing the book. It delves into what Eren felt about the outside world,

“those who’ve seen it are the most free.”

is what young Eren says, and for a brief moment, adult Armin and young Eren see each other through Paths.

Finally, the chapter focuses on Armin and Annie’s conversation, where Armin expresses that he believes his idea of the outside world remains somewhere – hope remains.

As he says this, the chapter reveals the final panel of Eren attached to the titan’s neck-deep and fast asleep.
