Hange, the current commander of the Survey Corps, is also sent to her demise in this chapter.

As she observes the rumbling, she realises that they are short on time. She decides to buy some time and engages the titans.

Hange kills two colossal titans but suffers severe burns in the process. Before she gets trampled, she sees a vision of Erwin and all her dead comrades.

As she was made the commander of the Survey Corps by Erwin, she is deeply attached to him.

Erwin consoles her before her death and tells her that she has done well. The plane successfully departs because of Hange. Levi mouths the words “Later, Hange” to her as he leaves.
