New Assassin’s Creed Nexus Trailer Shown at Ubisoft Forward 2023

Assassin’s Creed Nexus was recently announced at the Meta Games Showcase. The title would turn the Assassin’s Creed experience into VR, focusing on stealth and parkour. While this is something new for the franchise, it would be exciting to watch how the game turns out to be.

Ubisoft launched a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Nexus at Ubisoft Forward 2023. Players can play as three popular assassin’s– Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin’s Creed), Connor Kenway/Ratonhnhaké:ton (Assassin’s Creed 3) and Kassandra (Assassin’s Creed Oyssey).

Ubisoft Montreal Community Developer Clement Dagonneau explained how Assassin’s Creed Nexus will be a leap for virtual reality, so much that players will be immersed in the classic stealth and parkour of Assassin’s Creed titles.

Although the trailer was quite short, fans were quick to spot clues about past characters from the Assassin’s Creed series that could be playable in the VR game. This lines up with an earlier rumor which claimed that Assassin’s Creed Nexus would feature previous assassins.

A teaser trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jade was also shown at Ubisoft Forward. It will be a free-to-play, open-world RPG set in ancient China. The only disadvantage is that the title will be only available for mobile devices. Registrations for the closed beta are now open.

The introduction trailer showed us a glimpse of a fallen kingdom in ancient China. We see a hooded assassin walking atop the stairs infront an army of soldiers. There are also a few scenes showing his gameplay, parkour, and his combat against enemies.

Assassin’s Creed Nexus will be played from a first-person perspective. Ubisoft is scheduled to launch the VR title in the second half of 2023 for Meta Quest.
