Ascendance of a Bookworm is an isekai genre anime that follows the story of a young girl, who loves books, reborn into a war plagued world where books are hard to obtain. Her determination doesn’t falter as she makes it her goal to become a librarian and be surrounded by books.
Publisher TO Books announced the upcoming original video anime of Ascendance of a Bookworm and recently a promotional video for the same was launched.
The two OVAs, titled “Coleena-sama no Otaku Hōmon” (A House Call to Ms Coleena) and “Yustux no Shitamachi Sennyū Daisakusen” (Yustux’ Master Plan for Downtown Infiltration), will debut with a limited edition of the first novel of the series’ fifth part on March 10.
The anime’s first part ran for 14 episodes from October to December 2019. An English dub for the same was released on 4th December. The second part of the anime is expected to premiere in Spring.

The opening theme song, titled “Mashiro”, will be performed by Sumire Morohoshi. The ending theme, titled “Kamikazari no Tenshi”, will be performed by Megumi Nakajima.
About Ascendance of a Bookworm:
A book-lover college girl dies in her youth and is reborn into a brand new world. Her name is now Myne, and she is a sickly five-year-old daughter of a poor soldier. On finding out that this world has a meagre supply of books, she sets her eyes to open a library.
