After the recent bout of hacking that Apex Legends was subjected to, especially during a major tournament, the developers have released security patches. However, regular updates are being released per schedule.
Ahead of the release of the Shadow Society Event, Respawn Entertainment has revealed patch notes for the update where Conduit, Bangalore, and Revenant’s kits are being nerfed substantially, with decreased damage dealt and increased cooldown periods.
Bangalore’s reputed Smoke launcher has had cooldown increased to 35 seconds from the initial 33 and the duration has been decreased from 18 to 11 seconds. The particles will also disperse quickly, and enemies will not be hurt by the exploding canister of the Smoke grenade.
Bangalore’s yet another powerful util, Rolling Thunder, has had its cooldown increased from the already massive 4 min to 4.5 mins.
Conduit’s Ultimate remains unaffected. But the Tactical, going by the name of Radiant Transfer, will have the cooldown increased to 31 seconds from 26.
The regen interruption delay time will be increased to two seconds now, instead of the usual one second. The Simulacrum will see their Forged in Shadows ability nerfed in several ways. Shadow Pounce will no longer refresh the duration after getting a knock in Shadow form.
Caustic’s Gas Damage increases by one with each tick. These changes have the potential to impact the character meta in Apex Legends throughout the remainder of Season 20.
The First set of Care Packages has undergone some changes. The weapons have been removed and, in their place, players can find Seasonal Gold Weapons spawning like R-301, RE-45, Mastiff, Devotion, 30-30.
