Jay sat out in this week’s episode of Animal Control after a crab stabbed him in the leg, and no, you didn’t read that wrong. Shred is back after visiting his buddies and possibly making up with Camilia, but he confesses having feelings for Emily to a high Frank.
Oh, and Frank blew his back while scoring the winning basket for the match against Sanitation despite being benched by Templeton till the last play. That’s why he was high. And while Shred’s out there realizing his feelings for Emily, she’s busy rejecting and resetting dates with Rick.
We can definitely expect some lovers’ drama from the next episode of Animal Control, but what else?
1. Episode 12 Synopsis/Speculation
If season 1 ends with Shred heartbroken over Emily while she connects with Rick, I’m going to have a word with the showrunners. While we don’t have an official synopsis for the season 1 finale, here are my theories of what to expect in next week’s episode.
Emily will either juggle a lover’s triangle, or Shred will have to start next season with a new unrequited love.
Frank and Shred seem to be improving their bond, so we can expect some sweet moments between the grumpy older man and the enthusiastic teen.

5. Episode 11 Recap
Jay & Victoria handle a rogue crab who stabbed Jay, taking him out for the day. Shred returns to Animal Control with two tickets to the hockey game, but no one goes with him. Rick fixes the turf for Emily, asks her out on a date, and Templeton benches Frank in the awaited basketball match.
Victoria confesses to Emily that Rick plans to take her to Canada to try French food for their first day, but Emily gets scared and bails out of it. Frank knocks some sense into her, explaining she’s holding out for Shred, and though she eventually denies it, she agrees.
During the match, Templeton doesn’t let Frank sub in till he has no choice left, but in the last play, Frank ends up scoring the winning basket. Though he proved to everyone he was not old, he did blow out his back and had to be taken to the hospital by the janitor.
Shred gives away his tickets after no one wants to go with him, and he confesses to a high Frank that he might have a thing for Emily. Meanwhile, Emily rushes to the station to tell Rick that though she won’t go to Canada with him, she does want to go out with him, and they set a date.
