The anime-inspired American series, Cannon Busters, will now be released on BluRay!! The series pushes the sci-fi genre to its extreme limits. It has robots, monsters, humans, and some who are a mix of everything!
This jumble of a series then moves forward with guns blazing towards its main plot. Unpredictability can be the other name of the series as you can never guess what is going to happen next. Fans can now get ready to enjoy its BluRay version.
Funimation has just announced that it has acquired the home video rights for the famous LeSean Thomas anime, Cannon Busters. The release will include all the 12 episodes of the anime with English subs as well as English dubbing.
A limited-edition release is also planned and will contain extra merchandise that will be released later. Will we get an OVA as an additional surprise? Nothing’s wrong with hoping right?
LeSean is currently working on Yasuke, an original anime series. This upcoming project is about the Black samurai who existed during the 1500s.
Netflix debuted Cannon Busters in August 2019. It is a collaboration project of LeSean with anime studio Satelight and Yumeta company.
Studio Satelight was in charge of animation production of Aquarion, Basquash!, Caligula, Fairy Tail and other famous anime series.
Thomas started a crowdfunding campaign for a pilot episode of the anime in 2014. The episode was released on 8th July 2016. The project was helped by Tim Yoon, the producer behind The Legend of Korra.
The anime brings together an odd trio: a friendship android, an out-of-date engineering robot and a wanted man of the area. There are a lot of gag elements in the series but also a dark past behind some gags that add character to the anime.
