All the Easter Eggs from the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Announcement

The highly awaited Spider-Man 3 title announcement was quite the reveal. In a video, it was unveiled that Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon will be reprising their roles from the previous movie, and the upcoming film will be titled Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Filled with many teases and Easter eggs, the announcement made fans rejoice for the upcoming movie. But it is the eagle-eyed fans who deserve all the credit for pointing out all the sneakily placed teases in the footage posted on Marvel’s official Twitter page.

Perhaps the most significant one would be the title. The previous movie was aptly titled Spider-Man: Far From Home as it was based in London, so clearly Peter was far from home. The title of Spider-Man 3 would then suggest that maybe Peter cannot return home. As there have also been several rumors about the upcoming movie being connected to Doctor Strange 2, there is a possibility that Spider-Man 3 could take Peter outside of his timeline.

Furthermore, the video’s whiteboard is seen filled with potential ideas for the next Spider-Man movie title. Some of those include “Stay At Home,” “Zooming Home,” “Work From Home,” and even “Webcamming.” However, all of these were struck off, but this could hint at a referral to the coronavirus pandemic in the movie.

Other teases included sketches of hexagonal shapes, which many fans assumed could be connected to the Hex from WandaVision or could be referring to chemical compounds. It wouldn’t come as too much of a shock, as Peter is a science nerd. Another possible theory could be that it has to do with a scientist. That could be referring to Doctor Octopus, played by Alfred Molina, who is supposed to make an appearance.

Moreover, featured on the whiteboard is a design of a cube that looks very similar to the Tesseract and a drawing of an arc reactor, symbolic to Tony Stark. He may be dead now, but there’s no denying that Stark played a major role in Peter’s life, and that could still resound in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
