The trailer for Somebody I Used to Know has been released, revealing the look of the gorgeous Alison Brie in the romantic comedy.
Alison Brie first came under the spotlight when she nailed the role of Trudy Campbell in Mad Men. That was followed by stellar performances in shows like Community, BoJack Horseman, and GLOW.
Prime Video has finally released the trailer for Somebody I Used to Know after making the fans wait for almost a year. Watch the full trailer below:
The two-minute trailer starts with Ally (Alison Brie) bumping into her ex, Sean (Jay Ellis), in a café despite trying her best not to.
Things start taking awkward turn when circumstances bring them close to one another, and both start questioning their life choices. But this time, things aren’t as simple as they were before.
The trailer highlights the basic premise of a romantic comedy. The story is very close to Alison Brie’s life, who co-wrote the script with her real-life husband, Dave Franco.
This isn’t their first collaboration together. The couple has co-starred in movies like The Little Hours and The Disaster Artist in the past. Franco also had Brie as the protagonist in his directorial debut, The Rental.
Somebody I Used to Know marks the first film where they have co-written the script together. So, that makes the project a little more special for them!
The story highlights a complex juxtaposition of aspirations and regrets. While questioning her life choices and dreaming of a future with Sean, Ally comes across Cassidy, Sean’s fiancé. Cassidy reminds her of her own past self. But a good time is a fickle friend!
The film also marks the reunion of Alison Brie with Danny Pudi after their collaboration in Community. Other than the well-known stars, the supporting cast includes Haley Joel Osment, Julie Hagerty, Amy Sedaris, Zoë Chao, Evan Jonigkeit, Olga Merediz, Ayden Mayeri, and Kelvin Yu.
Fans will not have to wait for much longer, as Somebody I Used to Know will start streaming on Prime Video on February 10.
