American Crime Story S3 Brings You The Clinton-Lewinsky Scandal

American Crime Story will be tackling one of America’s biggest political events in its history: The Clinton-Lewinsky Scandal. As the latest full-length trailer reveals, Season 3 will be titled “Impeachment,” coming September 7.

With a music score thumping to the foreboding unease that the show will explore, it sets up the groundwork for the scandal’s premise. Have a look:

This season of the anthological series is based on Jeffrey Toobin’s novel A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President.

It will have Sarah Paulson, once again giving her best as she always does, playing Linda Tripp, who was monumental in exposing Monica Lewinsky and former President Bill Clinton.

The same exposing material would be used in court against Clinton for perjury in Paula Jones’ sexual harassment lawsuit against him.

Both the character list and the trailer indicate that Jones’ case will also be explored in the show, which would lead to the subsequent impeachment.

The ideation for this case started in 2017 itself, later being dropped in 2018 and then re-picked in 2019. The show has a long list of executive producers but a surprising addition this season is Monica Lewinsky herself.
