Ichirou, Goshiki, Fumio, and Machi visit the grave in episode 7 “A Slight Fever with the Princess.”

The episode was pretty heartwarming. Seeing the little siblings go out to pay their respect and remember their parents was sad and heartbreaking. However, Ichirou made sure they enjoyed their day out.

Goshiki fell ill, and Ichirou took care of her. It all amounted to wholesome and cute moments between the two. Chibi finally learned about the couple, and her response was pretty expected (she is in a dilemma about him being her big brother or someone she loves).

It is time to celebrate Christmas in episode 8 of A Galaxy Next Door, titled “Christmas with the Princess.”

It’s festival season, and the family will celebrate it with a new member and lots of fun activities. It will be a wholesome and feel-good episode with nothing heavy to offer.

Machi and Fumio will get some presents from Ichirou. Goshiki can also expect some gifts from Ichirou on this special day. Chibi might feel insecure about her feelings, but I hope we don’t get any unnecessary love triangle out of it.

3. Episode 7 Recap

Ichirou does some chores when Goshiki shows up. She is not able to make eye contact with him ever since he gave her the letter. When he goes to take Fumio and Machi, they are not in the room.

Goshiki learns that they are to visit the grave, and Fumio wants Goshiki to come along. They all go to the grave and pay their respect. After that, they picnic in the park nearby.

Machi tells Chibi that Goshiki is Ichirou’s girlfriend, shocking Chibi. Machi gets emotional while referring to her dad. Goshiki tells them about how they used to remember the departed on her island. 

Ichirou wants to offer some rice balls, so he returns to the grave with Goshiki accompanying him. They both have some talk, and Ichirou tells his father about Goshiki.

Back home, Goshiki gets flustered thinking about what Ichirou said at the grave and stretched her thoughts to marriage. Goshiki goes out to look for Ichirou.

He finds out that she has a fever. He tells her to lie down in her bed. He wonders how her body works and what he can do to make her feel better. He takes some food to her room.

Goshiki insists that Ichirou stays with her for a bit and tries to talk about something. He agrees and stays with her. The next morning, she feels better, but when she wakes up, she finds Ichirou sitting on the floor, asleep.

He wakes up and starts leaving the room when Goshiki gets up and hugs him. He hugs her back. Machi and Fumio show up, and Ichirou goes out with them to make some breakfast.

A Galaxy Next Door is a manga written by Gido Amagakure. It is receiving an anime adaptation directed by Ryuichi Kimura at studio Asahi Production.

The anime is about a young man struggling to raise his siblings after their father’s death with not little inheritance and a passion for drawing manga.
