Ichirou and his siblings prepare to go to the zoo, but rain destroys all their plans. Ichirou returns to work and decides to focus on his story, but Goshiki’s proposal continuously distracts him.

Goshiki herself decides to draw something, but every time she ends up drawing Ichirou. She is overwhelmed by her feelings for him and wonders how she will act around him.

Goshiki is concerned about Machi and Fumio being upset. She decides to do something about it. She goes to the siblings and offers to play fortune-telling with them.

However, she ends up tearing one of the cards Ichirou made for Machi. Machi feels sad, but it doesn’t show on her face. Goshiki decides to go out to get a book for Machi.

Due to bad weather, Ichirou gets worried and looks for her. He meets her, and together, with the help of a book, they make some fortune cards for Machi.

Goshiki gives her the get-up of a fortune teller. She claims that Machi can become a fortune-teller in the future, but Machi is not ready as she wants to go to college because Ichirou is working hard for their college fees.

Ichirou tells her not to worry and become what she wants to. He also tells Goshiki that she should start making her own manga if she loves drawing so much.

Later that night, Ichirou and Goshiki meet, and Ichirou tells her he can’t fall in love right now as Machi and Fumio are his priority. His words start having a negative impact on him.

However, he ends up saying that he has fallen for her. He asks her to go out with him. She falls unconscious because of the overwhelming feeling.

A Galaxy Next Door is a manga written by Gido Amagakure. It is receiving an anime adaptation directed by Ryuichi Kimura at studio Asahi Production.

The anime is about a young man struggling to raise his siblings after their father’s death with not little inheritance and a passion for drawing manga.
