The Couple of Cuckoos anime will come out in late April and I have another surprise for you before the wholesome series starts airing.
Although the anime itself is ultra-cute, the staff members have come up with a way to make fans swoon even more. What better way to do it than a mini-spin-off anime?
The latest announcement from the franchise has confirmed one such spinoff that is bound to make you uwu over it.
The Couple of Cuckoos anime will be released on April 24, 2022. Additionally, the series has also been listed with two cours. So you can expect the anime to continue airing for half a year with no breaks in between.
You can check out the latest teaser of the series, which previews the opening theme song of the anime, Dekoboko, by Kiyoe Yoshioka.
The trailer beautifully shows how Nagi and Erika lead their everyday lives and how they meet on a fateful day. It also shows some of the supporting characters.
The brand-new mini anime of A Couple of Cuckoos will be released on April 28, 2022, on KADOKAWA’s YouTube channel.
Based on the poster, you can expect the spinoff to focus on the comic backstories and behind the scenes of Nagi Umino and Erika Amano, the anime’s protagonists.
The latest trailer clarifies that the upcoming series will have plenty of fun moments. Erika and Nagi’s awkward and tangled-up relationship will also be shown in episode 1, and I can’t wait to laugh at how dumb both of their decisions prove to be in the long run.

A Couple of Cuckoos or Cuckoo’s Fiance is a manga by Miki Yoshiwara. It was launched in January 2020 in the Weekly Shounen Magazine.
Nagi and Erika were switched at birth and never knew their real parents. On the day that Nagi was supposed to meet his natural parents, he encounters Erika and is roped into helping her out of an arranged marriage.
Both of them pretend to be girlfriend and boyfriend only to realize later that they are actually fated to marry each other.
