The Irregular at Magic High School has given us several amazing adaptations. Its light novel series has been adapted into various forms of media over the years, with its manga reigning on top as the fan favorite.

Its manga has been on a break after the conclusion of the Southern Sea Riot arc in August, but we finally have an update on it today.

Square Enix has revealed that ‘The Irregular at Magic High School’ light novel will be adapted into three new manga series in 2023.

All three titles will begin serialization simultaneously in Square Enix’s Monthly G Fantasy and Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazines.

‘The Irregular at Magic High School’ manga is one of the finest, and it’s probably because there are many artists involved instead of just one. It is famous for having a different artist for every arc, making each storyline unique and distinct.

Similarly, the new manga series will follow the same pattern, and different artists will adapt all three manga. These new titles will take up volumes 21-25 of the light novel series.

The first title will cover the ‘Koritsu-hen’ (Isolation Arc) from the light novel’s 23rd volume. It will be adapted by Tsuna Kitaumi and serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly G Fantasy magazine.

Moving on, the next one will be adapted by Mei Higuchi and will feature the ‘Dōran no Joshō-hen’ (Prologue of Disturbance Arc). It will be from volumes 21 and 22 of the light novel series.

Yuzuki N Dash will adapt the “Escape Arc” arc from the light novel’s 24th and 25th volumes. This and the one by Mei Higuchi will be serialized in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine.

I’m really excited about these upcoming manga series because they’re some of the best-written ones from the franchise.

The storylines are filled with some class-apart action and twists that you could’ve never expected.

About The Irregular at Magic High School

The Irregular at Magic High School is based on a web novel series by Tsutomu Sato, published on an internet web novel website between 2008 and 2011.

The series is set in a world with an alternate history, where magic exists and has been polished through modern technology. However, the ability to use magic is determined by genetics, limiting the number of magicians in existence.

The story follows Tatsuya Shiba, a bodyguard to his sister Miyuki Shiba who is also a candidate to succeed in the leadership of the Yotsuba clan, one of the Ten Master Clans that govern Japan’s magicians.

They enroll into First High School which segregates its students based on their magical abilities. Miyuki is enrolled as a first course student and is viewed as one of the best students, while Tatsuya is in the second course and considered to be magically inept.
