Before the mega-hit series ‘The Seven Deadly Sins,’ Nakaba Suzuki wrote a manga ‘Rising Impact’ that, in the late 1990s, developed a cult following and a devoted fan base. The manga is finally getting an adaptation, thanks to Netflix.
The story follows Gawain, who falls in love with golf and resolves to put in much effort to win it all. He won’t have an easy time competing against more seasoned and influential players.
Netflix announced that the ‘Rising Impact’ golf manga will get an anime adaptation. The anime will have two seasons. Season 1 will premiere in June 2024, and season 2 in August 2024.
The trailer dedicates a good amount of time for introducing the colorful characters that will populate the two seasons of the anime and gives a glimpse of their styles.
In the teaser visual, Gawain swinging at full force is captured.
With these announcements, an illustration and comment with colored paper from the original author, Suzuki, have arrived. He is happy about his manga’s upcoming adaptation and is grateful to the staff.

Rising Impact is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump from November 1998 to February 2002. An original net animation adaptation produced by Lay-duce is set to premiere on Netflix in June 2024.
A young boy, Gawain, lives in a mountainous, rural area with an incredible love for baseball and making the ball fly. One day, he runs into a visitor of a small size, and she introduces him to a sport that can make a ball take flight: golf! It just takes one shot, and Gawain is hooked.
With his grandpa’s approval, he sets off to Tokyo with this mysterious woman to learn all he can about golf, encountering many colorful characters and obstacles.
