WWE kicked off 2024 with its first live premier event on Saturday. Yes, we are talking about both men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches, with the champion of each event getting a shot at the WrestleMania championship!

Roman Reigns also put his undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line in a fatal four-way game against LA Knight, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton. Moreover, this was the first time Logan Paul defended his United States Championship title.

Who Won the Men’s Royal Rumble 2024?

Cody Rhodes beat CM Punk to win the Royal Rumble for the second straight year in 2024.

After some intense action, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk were the final two survivors in the Royal Rumble bonanza. It looked like WWE’s two biggest signings were equal in every aspect, and anyone could get the other over the top rope.

When Punk seemed to be closing in on the jugular, Cody Rhodes countered the GTS and threw Punk over the rope to win the Royal Rumble for the second straight year!

Besides guaranteeing himself another shot at the WrestleMania title, he became the third person to win back-to-back Royal Rumble matches and the first to do it since Stone Cold Steve Austin in 1997-98.
