WWE Superstars with Injuries: Will They be in the Elimination Chamber & WrestleMania?

The WWE Elimination Chamber is set to take place in the Optus Stadium in Perth on February 24. For the first time, WWE has introduced a pay-per-view event in Australia. Excitement is at its peak for the event, especially with the Showcase of the Immortals also two months away.

The Wrestlemania 40 is scheduled to take place on April 6 and 7 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. However, things do not look as exciting as they should have because of the multiple injuries. Several superstars, including big shots such as CM Punk and Seth Rollins, are set to miss the event for medical reasons.

The card is up in the air as of now, with injuries and other technical reasons stopping many wrestlers from participating in Wrestlemania 40.

Here is a list of the possible wrestlers who are set to miss the Elimination Chamber and Wrestlemania 40 owing to injuries. The list is valid as of writing but is subject to change.

1. WWE Superstars Who Will Miss the Events Due to Injuries

1. CM Punk

CM Punk confirmed on WWE RAW that he suffered a torn triceps on his right arm in the Royal Rumble. The superstar is confirmed to miss the Elimination Chamber and Wrestlemania 40.

The superstar was attacked by Drew McIntyre. He suffered from a similar injury in 2022, and it is confirmed to keep him out for at least 4 to 6 months.

Punk’s injury is a huge blow for WWE, given that his match with Seth Rollins was one of the most awaited matches this year. Punk has returned to WWE after 10 years.

2. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins suffered a torn MCL injury and a partial meniscus tear in mid-January. He is confirmed not to be a part of the Elimination Chamber. Although Rollins said that he still wants to compete in WrestleMania, he might not be allowed to for medical reasons.

His recovery will determine his availability for WrestleMania, making a potential match between Rollins and Punk impossible in the near future. Rollins has decided to avoid surgery and go to rehab. If it goes well, he could be back in the ring within a month, but if it does not, he will be forced to miss WrestleMania.

3. Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair suffered a serious injury during a match with Asuka on the December 8 edition of WWE Smackdown and will not be a part of WrestleMania or the Elimination Chamber. She was working with Shotzi when the two fell off the rope.

Flair tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus. She underwent surgery a month ago but will likely not be back until the SummerSlam.

4. Big E

Big E suffered a major injury in the March 11 episode of Smackdown in 2022. He landed on his head and broke his neck during a Belly-To-Belly Overhead Suplex. There is no timetable suggesting his return to the WWE.

Big E’s future in wrestling does not look good. He recently mentioned that he requires a wheelchair, which means there are high doubts about his comeback anytime soon, let alone in WrestleMania.

2. Superstars Who Could Miss The Events for Other Reasons

1. Gunther

Gunther is confirmed not to participate in the Elimination Chamber as he cannot leave the United States. He is in the process of acquiring a green card for the United States.

Although an injury is not keeping the superstar away, fans will still miss him.

2. Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns will not be participating in the Elimination Chamber, although nothing is known about him being in WrestleMania. The superstar is not injured so it depends on how WWE wants to go forward with his storyline and set up his match with The Rock.

Fans were disappointed as many expected Reigns to be a part of the event due to the rumors of a planned match with The Rock.

3. The Rock

The Rock is not likely to be a part of the Elimination Chamber. However, there is still a chance for him to be on the roster for WrestleMania.

The superstar hinted in January about an upcoming fight with Roman Reigns. Fans expected it to take place in Elimination Chamber, but now we can expect it in WrestleMania.

The Rock will not be a part of the Elimination Chamber even after Western Australian tourism officials called the WWE requesting the superstar to be a part of the event.

4. Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar has been ruled out of WWE events for a while now due to legal issues.

He was expected to make a stunning comeback at the Royal Rumble event. However, his return was canceled at the eleventh hour due to a shocking lawsuit involving him and Vince McMahon, the former WWE chairman.

Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, accused McMahon and other WWE executives of sexually abusing and trafficking her to various WWE talents, including Lesnar.

The Wall Street Journal identified Lesnar as the unnamed wrestler in Grant’s lawsuit. Lesnar was supposed to face Dominik Mysterio in Australia.
