I have to give a Sweet Tooth-sized thank you to our incredible fans. I read every comment and was so blown away by everyone’s love, support, and rabid enthusiasm for a paper bag. We are beyond thankful we get to continue the story of John Doe, Quiet, and Sweet Tooth as they face off against familiar faces and new grim foes in the long-awaited ‘Twisted Metal’ tournament. Twisted Metal Season 2 is coming to Peacock

Over the years, the audience has grown skeptical of video game adaptations as not many Hollywood versions have been able to match up to their expectations. The versions usually fail to capture the central theme or essence of the original games. Another complaint about films based on video games is that they tend to deviate too much from their source material, making it difficult for fans to relate to them.

However, 2023 has changed the scenario for video game adaptations. HBO’s The Last of Us, Universal’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and now Peacock’s ‘Twisted Metal’ have turned out to be some of the most successful game adaptations ever. All of them have received critical acclaim as well as the approval of fans.

‘Twisted Metal’, in particular, has been praised for its depiction of the slaughter race concept that made the original video game series popular in 1995. The ‘Twisted Metal’ season 1 finale further increased the excitement for season 2, as it set up an inter-city tournament between drivers. There is a lot of scope for season 2 to match up to the original theme of the games.

No official release date for ‘Twisted Metal’ season 2 has yet been announced, but we’ll keep you posted!
