Sony Pictures Give ‘Venom 3’ its Official Title and Prepones Release Date

The upcoming Marvel movie Venom 3 gets its official title, and Sony Pictures has modified its release date. Despite the box office failure of Madame Web, Sony Pictures has two more films in the Spider-Man universe lined up for this year.

Kraven the Hunter is set to release this summer, while Tom Hardy’s Venom 3 is eyeing a fall release. Venom 3 will mark the first franchise in the Spider-Man universe to complete a trilogy.

As per Deadline, Venom 3 has been officially titled Venom: The Last Dance and will hit release in theaters on October 25. The film was previously set to release on November 8.

As of writing, Sony Pictures has not confirmed when they plan to release the first trailer. The cast of Venom: The Last Dance is still shooting. The title, including the phrase “The Last Dance,” could have a sense of finality to it.

It could mean that this is Hardy’s last film starring Eddie Brock, aka Venom. The makers could decide to make Eddie and the Symbiote take up one last challenge, which could cost them their lives.

However, the film may not necessarily involve a tragic ending. It could mark the last adventure before the duo part ways. Venom Symbiote could go back to their home planet, Klyntar, while Eddie could remain on Earth.

Tom Hardy or the makers have not yet confirmed if Venom: The Last Dance will be Hardy’s last outing as Venom. We will get more clarity when more material or footage from the film is released.
